LicensingActiveX Controls for VB · Per Developer Licensing We license our products on a per-developer basis. This means that if you have five developers working on a project that must load one of our products in the IDE, you will need to purchase five licenses for that product (one for each developer). If you are a single developer, you only need to purchase one license for the product you are using.
About Laptops, Testing Labs, etc... We understand that in today's increasingly mobile workplace, many developers have a workstation, a laptop, a separate testing workstation, a Tablet PC, and several other devices. It would be unfair of us to charge a developer for several licenses to cover each of these devices. This is why our licensing is per-developer instead of per machine. A developer is free to use their software license on as many machines as they need to, as long as only they are using that machine for development.
Volume Licensing and Site Licenses To minimize the cost for companies that need to purchase multiple
licenses, we offer our Volume Licensing and Site Licensing. Both of
these licensing schemes allow you to purchase multiple licenses for
heavily discounted rates. With Volume Licensing, you purchase an exact
number of licenses, which are discounted according to how many licenses
are being purchased. Site Licensing allows you to purchase a blanket
license that covers any number of developers in your organization.
